As a coi=usin of Peter whose family moved to c=Canada in 1903, I feel a connectiion and feel very sad that we were unable to meet and talk about the family connections.  It is a reminder that there are many things that need to be done when we can, and not left to be sorry about later.

Dear Matilde, David and Roni,

We are shcked and saddened by the news of our old friend Peter's passing.  We met all of you in 1998 when we came to visit Budapest with my mother; my first time back to Hungary, the country of our birth.  David was so helpful in arranging things and assisting us during that visit.  What a lovely man.  May his memory be a blessing to you.  With our most sincere condolances,

Peter and I were childhood friends in Canada living next door to each other
playing in the back alley,and up to no good as kids will be I fondly remember Peter
and the pleasant days we had together from 59-63.

I am so sad to hear that my friend, Peter, has passed away. He was truly a one in million kind of guy. I've never met anyone else like Peter and don't expect to. He was funny, creative, smart, kind and always good for an unbelievable story. And he loved his family more than anything. 

I will always remember our last time together --- my wife Libby and I visited Peter in Budapest a few years ago and spent the entire day and evenning with him. He told us stories of secret floors in buildings that were used to hide Jews from the Nazis, he speculated that all the bald taxi drivers were ex-KGB, we ate a marvelous lunch on a restaurant on the water with traditional food that only Peter knew how to order, we smoked and we drank and laughed. What a charmer!! I'll also always remember when, about 20 years ago , Peter came to our home for Passover Seder and met my kids and extended family, and of course, as usual, he was the life of the event, telling crazy stories and making everyone laugh or question if there was any truth to anything he said!! 

Now he rests in the loving arms of God. Rest in peace Peter.
